Remembering Alisia

A life held close in memory

Alisia JaNell Williams, age nine, is remembered as a joyful, spirited little girl who filled rooms with her smile and energy. A cherished daughter and sister, Alisia loved playing with her baby dolls, dressing up, and dancing — simple pleasures that reflected her bright, playful nature. Family members and neighbors recall her as an “angel” with a beautiful spirit who could lift those around her with a laugh or a grin.

Born into a close-knit New Orleans family, Alisia is survived by her parents, Elena and Jonas Williams; siblings Dalano and Janaya Williams; grandparents and a wider circle of relatives who treasured her. In the days after her passing, family, friends, and community members gathered to celebrate her life and offer comfort to one another during an unimaginably difficult time.

Visitation and a celebration of life were held in New Orleans where loved ones shared memories of Alisia’s warmth, energy, and the small daily delights that made her who she was. The family chose to honor her memory privately with burial at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery and a public remembrance at Ray Ave. Baptist Church.

Though her time was far too short, Alisia’s presence left a lasting impression on those who knew her — a reminder of childhood sweetness and the light one young life can bring into many hearts. Her family asked for prayers as they grieved and worked to carry forward her memory with love.
