Alberto Vershon Winfield was born September 24, 1982 in Sikeston, Missouri to Albert Patterson and Mary Jean Roddy. Alberto Transitioned from this life on July 18, 2021 in St. louis, Missouri.

Today, we are all here for one reason. Alberto Vershon Winfield is that reason. Born with a will & determination like no others, Shon lived life, loved hard, and was taken away from us all, way too soon. To know him was a blessing for many. He wore his heart on his sleeve and never had a problem letting anyone know how he felt about anything. He was talented in so many things, his quest to be a better man for everyone in his life was simply using those talents to get whatever job it was to get done. A jack of a trades, one might say. Versatility was his calling card, he could do anything he put his mind to do, and often did as such. To everyone here, let us all remember the times he shared with us all. Know that he is watching us all, with love. He touched so many lives from all walks of life, so much so, that all you have to do is look around now at the faces he so greatly impacted. He will be missed dearly, he will be remembered, he will always be loved. Winfield’s, Patterson’s, and oh so many more families that he touched, and is a part of, know that he truly cared for us all. His presence will be sorely missed by so many people. His laugh was infectious, his determination was real, and his love and respect, more times than not, had to be earned. We should all cherish the times we shared with Shon, in keeping his memory strong and alive. We’ll never stop loving you Shon, and know that we all here today to share in our love for you. We as a collective will ensure that your life will always be remembered, always loved.

Services for Alberto will be held on Saturday July 31,2021 at DCM Life Church in Sikeston, MO. With Pastor David Craig Officiating at 12:00 P.M. Visitation will also be on Saturday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the funeral hour at 12:00 P.M. Burial will be in the Morning Star Cemetery in Haywood City, MO. Professional Services were Entrusted to the Massie Funeral Home in Mounds, Illinois.
