Remembering Adrian

A life held close in memory

Adrian Gonzales Betancourt was born on February 14, 1985, and cherished by family and friends until he was called home on April 25, 2008. Those who knew him recall a young man whose love for his children and close family shaped his days and gave him purpose.

Adrian was a devoted father to his son, Blaise, and his daughter, Jayda Linda. He shared a close bond with Laura, described in notices as the love of his life, and was a beloved son to Thomas and Linda Betancourt, Jr. Family ties were central to Adrian — he is also remembered by his brother Fabian, nephew Marcellus, sister-in-law Sunshine, and niece Iliana, who carry his memory forward in their hearts.

Friends and relatives gathered to celebrate Adrian’s life. Visitation was held at Jesse E. Cooley, Jr. Chapel, followed by a recitation of the Rosary and a Mass at St. John’s Cathedral. He was laid to rest at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Those services reflected the family’s faith and the deep wish to honor Adrian’s life with dignity and togetherness.

While words cannot fill the space left by his passing, the memories of Adrian’s kindness, his affection for his children, and his loyalty to family endure. He is remembered not for how he left, but for the ways he loved — small acts and familiar smiles that remain with those who loved him. May his family find comfort in one another and in the lasting imprint he left on their lives.
