Whitney Allen

Whitney Desha Allen was born August 23, 1996, and cherished by family and friends for her warm smile, playful sense of style, and devotion to caring for others. Following in her mother’s footsteps, Whitney worked as an adult caregiver — a role she embraced with patience and kindness. Those who knew her remember a young woman who enjoyed fashion and took joy in the everyday moments she shared with family.

Whitney’s life centered on family. She was a daughter and sister who treasured time with loved ones and created laughter in ordinary gatherings. Her obituary notes she was preceded in death by her grandparents and is survived by her father, Elmer Allen, Jr.; brothers Timothy and Hakeem; a sister listed as Siddiga; many aunts and cousins; and a wide circle of nieces, nephews, and friends who will continue to carry her memory forward.

A funeral service and visitation were arranged by R. Mason Brothers Memorial Chapel in Evansville, reflecting the close-knit community that loved her. The services were held with attention to family wishes and community health guidance at the time.

Whitney’s family remembers her for the brightness she brought into rooms and for the quiet compassion she showed in her work and relationships. Though her time was far too short, the care she gave others and the joy she shared remain part of the lives she touched. She is remembered with love and gratitude by those who knew her.
