Victor Hugo Reyes

Victor Hugo Reyes was born on February 24, 2003, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and cherished the love of a close-knit family throughout his life. Those who knew him remember a young man with a sensitive heart who was genuinely devoted to his parents and siblings. He was described by family as colorful, genuine, and generous — someone who looked out for others and took pride in caring for his loved ones.

From childhood Victor showed a playful, curious spirit. He delighted in small acts of kindness, like helping his abuela with chores and treating her to dinner on her birthday. He also had a lively sense of humor and a streak of mischief — family stories recall him playfully drop-kicking his sisters when he was little and pretending to be his favorite WWE wrestlers. He took pride in his appearance, always dressing with care and never missing a fresh haircut and new shoes.

Victor worked alongside his father in a plumbing business and dreamed of earning his plumbing license so he could one day start a business with him. That ambition reflected his deep commitment to family and to building a future rooted in hard work and responsibility. The arrival of his niece, Kattaleia, brought him particular joy; he embraced the role of uncle with enthusiasm and tenderness.

Family was central to Victor’s identity. He was a beloved son to Jose Reyes and Hope Couch and a steadfast brother to Lorena, Alexa, Olivia, Josiah, Jasavion, Jose Miguel, Amelia, Erika, April, and Maribel. Grandparents and extended family were also important to him, and he is remembered as a caring presence who treasured those relationships. In his last months, Victor’s family observed a maturity and brightness that made them proud.
