Sara Lynea Burke

Sara Lynea Burke was born August 3, 1991, in Bremerton and is remembered for her bright spirit and deep love of people. A devoted daughter and sister, Sara balanced school and family life with a friendly, openhearted nature that drew others to her. She earned honor-roll recognition at Renaissance High School and looked forward to continuing her education at Olympic College with plans to study Early Childhood Education — a path inspired by her hope to work with and support young children.

Friends and family recall Sara as social and affectionate, the kind of young woman who treasured time spent with a wide circle of friends. She enjoyed ordinary moments of laughter, companionship, and family gatherings, and she leaves behind many who remember her kindness and warmth. Sara’s immediate family includes her parents, Chester and DeNae Burke; brothers Patrick and Christopher Burke; and sisters Brandi and Summer Burke, as well as grandchildren and extended relatives who cherished her presence.

Visitation and services were arranged in Bremerton so that loved ones could gather, share memories, and celebrate life. The family invited contributions to the Sara Burke Memorial Fund to honor her memory. Those who knew Sara remember a young woman with dreams of helping children and a generous heart that touched friends, classmates, and relatives alike.

Though her life was far too short, Sara’s plans, her laughter, and the warmth she showed to others remain her lasting legacy. Her family and community continue to honor her memory and the promise she carried for the future.
