A life held close in memory

Quincy La'Savion Atkins, 20, of Columbus, Georgia, passed away on April 18, 2020. Born in Columbus and raised by his mother, Felicia A. Atkins, Quincy grew up surrounded by family who remember him as a cherished son and grandson. He attended William H. Spencer High School and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, where faith and community were central parts of his life.

Quincy worked at the Kia Auto Manufacturing Plant, where he was known as a dependable young man doing his best to support those close to him. He cared deeply for his family; he is remembered as the beloved son of Felicia Atkins and the late Kenny Atkins, and as a dedicated grandson. Survivors include his mother, his sister Rickele James, his girlfriend Jasmine Cullum and her daughter Aa'liyah, and his grandparents, including Doreather Atkins.

Those who loved Quincy recall a young life shaped by family connections and quiet commitments — to work, to faith, and to the people who mattered most. In the weeks and months after his passing, family and friends honored his memory with private gatherings and remembrances, celebrating the simple, meaningful ways he touched their lives.

Quincy’s life, though brief, was full of relationships and small responsibilities he carried with care. He is remembered with love by those who knew him best, and his family asks that his memory be kept in the warmth of their private recollections and prayers.
