Remembering Nicholas
A life held close in memory
Nicholas Canada was born December 25, 1978, in St. Louis and was cherished by his family throughout his life. He was a devoted father to his son, Joshua Brockett, and a loving son to Donna (DeGuire) Canada and Ed Canada. Nicholas was also a brother to Melissa, Jason and Jennifer Canada, and to Sarah Cohen, and he held a special place in the hearts of many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Family and community gathered to honor Nicholas's life and to celebrate the relationships that mattered most to him. Those who knew him remember the quiet importance of family connections and the way he fit into a larger circle of relatives and friends who relied on one another. His funeral service was held on August 16 at Gerber Chapel in Webster Groves, Missouri, where relatives and friends came together to offer comfort, share memories, and pay their respects.
Nicholas’s life touched many across two states—born in St. Louis and with ties in Florida—and his memory endures in the people who loved him. In remembering Nicholas, his family and friends honor the role he played as a father, son, brother and uncle, and keep his spirit alive through stories, shared memories, and continuing bonds.
Those wishing to remember Nicholas are invited to reflect on the care he showed his family and the place he held in their lives. His legacy lives on in the son he leaves behind and the many relatives who carry his memory forward with quiet affection.
