Remembering Myra
A life held close in memory
Myra Littlejohn Davidson of Gaffney lived a life rooted in faith, family, and service. Born in Gaffney on November 6, 1975, to Dorothy Rabb Littlejohn and the late Deacon Joe Winfred Littlejohn, Myra carried the values of her upbringing into every part of her life.
A graduate of Gaffney High School who pursued further study at Spartanburg Technical College, Myra applied her skills during more than two decades of dedicated service at the Timken Company. Her work there was an important part of her daily life and a steady presence for her family and friends.
Myra was a committed member of Green Bethel Baptist Church, where she gave freely of her time and talents. She served in many capacities—leading the pulpit aid and gospel choir, participating on the usher board and kitchen ministry, coordinating Friends and Family Day and the Black History Program, and serving on the cemetery committee. Those roles reflected her devotion to worship and to bringing people together.
Family meant everything to Myra. She cherished her roles as mother and grandmother, and she was known among friends and relatives for her willingness to lend a helping hand, a kind word, and steady support. Her warm spirit and faith-guided life left a lasting impression on her church family and the broader community.
Funeral services were arranged through Gordon Mortuary in Gaffney, with a service held at Green Bethel Baptist Church. As those who loved her remember Myra, they recall not only her service and leadership but also the everyday kindnesses that made her a beloved presence in so many lives. Her life—marked by faith, family, and faithful service—remains a meaningful part of the Gaffney community.
