Obituary

A formal remembrance

Kristopher Chase Simmons, born February 9, 1979 in Ogden, Utah, was a son, brother, uncle and friend whose lively spirit and easy laugh left an impression on everyone who knew him. He enjoyed music, fast cars, electronics, movies and tinkering with things — small passions that reflected a curious and hands-on nature. He also loved animals, especially his cats, and treasured time spent with family and close friends.

Kristopher attended Ben Lomond High School and Northridge High School in the Ogden area. Friends and family remember him most for his sense of humor and the way he could make others smile. Those who gathered to honor Kristopher described him as someone who brought light into ordinary moments and who was generous with his laughter.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sherman and Shirley Wheeler, and a close friend known as Kevin. Kristopher is survived by his mother, Robin Wheeler (Ted) Tenbrink; his father, Curtis Lee (Lorye) Simmons; sisters Angelee (Jason) Sexton, Candice Price, Shalee Simmons, and Heather Halbert (Mike); brothers Cody (Krista) Price and Jared Simmons; and a wide circle of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews who remember him fondly.

A graveside service was held on June 7, 2014, at Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park in Ogden, Utah. In keeping with the family’s wishes, memorial donations were accepted in Kristopher’s name. Those who loved him remember Kristopher for the warmth of his humor, the small joys he pursued, and the moments of connection he shared with those closest to him.
