Kristin Nicole Spear Mendez

Kristin Nicole Spear Mendez, born May 5, 1988 in Forsyth County, was a beloved daughter, sister and mother who brought warmth and laughter to those around her. Family remembered Kristin for her beautiful smile and contagious laugh—qualities that brightened everyday moments and made her presence unforgettable.

Kristin was raised in the Forsyth County area by her parents, Randall Spear and Tracy Estep. She is survived by her parents, four children—Jacob, Samuel, Jayden and Soloman—her brother Ryan Waycaster, her sister Megan Wiles, grandmother Donna Cooke, and a wide circle of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives who loved her dearly. Family members also noted a special aunt they called “Sue Sue” and a nephew, Brylee Mize, who brought her particular joy.

In life Kristin was full of energy and spirit; the details her family shared speak to someone who valued family connections and who left a warm impression on everyone she met. In May 2021, the family held a graveside service at Rural Hall Memorial Park and received friends at Hayworth‑Miller Funeral Home to celebrate her life and share memories.

Though Kristin’s time was far too brief, those who knew her remember the brightness she carried into ordinary days: the lift of her smile, the sparkle in her laugh, and the love she showed her children and family.
