Remembering Kingston

A life held close in memory

Kingston Watson was born March 12, 1998. Those who knew him remembered a young man whose laugh and easy smile made time with family and friends feel lighter. Kingston enjoyed reading and drawing, and he moved freely between creative and physical pursuits — dancing, playing basketball, and listening to the music that moved him.

Friends and family described Kingston as loving and thoughtful, a person who cared for others and often put them first. He spent his childhood and early years building relationships and finding community; later he moved to Southern California as a young adult to begin the next chapter of his life. Despite hardships in his early years, including the loss of his biological parents when he was young, Kingston looked for connection and found people who became family through shared time and support.

Kingston’s interests — from art and books to dance and sport — reflected a curious spirit and a life lived with energy and affection for others. He is remembered most for the ways he made people laugh and the kindness he showed in ordinary moments. His family and circle of friends hold his memory close, honoring the joy and warmth he brought to their lives.

Although Kingston’s life ended far too soon, those who loved him remember him first for who he was: a caring son, brother, cousin and friend whose small pleasures and generous heart left a lasting impression on those around him.
