Juan Galindo

Juan de Dios Galindo, 36, of Odessa, Texas, passed away on July 18, 2014. Born March 8, 1978, in La Cuesta, Chihuahua, Mexico, Juan carried with him a strong work ethic and a generous spirit that marked his life and relationships. He made his home in Odessa with his wife, Linda, and poured his heart into being a father to his children.

A hands-on and dedicated worker, Juan was employed as a pulling unit operator. He took pride in supporting his family and was known by relatives and friends as someone they could count on. Those who knew him remember a caring man who often put others first and showed loyalty to family even when times were difficult.

Family was central to Juan’s life. He treasured moments with his son Johnny and his daughters Janely and Joclynn, and he was a beloved son to Gabriel and Antonia (Uranga) Galindo. Juan’s siblings—Jose Manuel, Dolores Moreno, Gabriella Galindo, and Cynthia Mendoza—along with nieces and nephews, remember his warmth and the way he brightened family gatherings. He enjoyed simple pleasures: cooking at the grill, dancing and singing, and following horse racing—interests that brought joy to ordinary days and special occasions alike.

Services to honor Juan’s life were arranged through Acres West Funeral Chapel and Crematory in Odessa. A rosary was recited and a funeral service was held, followed by interment at the Peaceful Garden of Ector County Cemetery.

Though his life was cut short, Juan’s steadfast care for his family, his everyday kindness, and the memories he created through shared meals, music, and laughter remain with those who loved him. He is remembered for the warmth he offered freely and the pride he took in being a husband and father.
