Remembering Joshua

A life held close in memory

Joshua Michael Smith was born August 28, 1994 in Springfield, Ohio. Those who knew him remember Josh for his easygoing spirit, his fondness for games of all kinds, and the quiet steadiness he brought to work and home life. He was employed by Trutec Industries, where he applied himself with reliability and a practical, hardworking attitude.

Family was central to Josh’s life. He is survived by his wife, Sabrina (Crable) Smith; his parents, Paul Randall Smith and Patty (Murnahan) Smith; his maternal grandmother Pauline Knott; sisters Amanda Klett-Ovando and Cassandra Klett; brother Justin Smith; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by grandfathers Harold Knott, Ervin Murnahan, and Ralph Edward Smith Sr.

Josh’s warm presence and the simple joys he shared—especially time spent playing games with friends and family—left an impression on those around him. His family held private funeral services and his final resting place is Rose Hill Burial Park in Springfield.

Though his life was far too short, Joshua is remembered for the ordinary kindnesses and dependable love he offered those close to him. He is missed by the many relatives and friends who carry his memory forward.

Joshua was gone far too soon. May the love, memories, and moments connected to this life continue to be treasured, and may those mourning find comfort in remembering what mattered most.
