Remembering Jaydon

A life held close in memory

Jaydon Jamel “JL” Lewis, age 18, was a bright and tender presence in Montgomery whose warmth and kindness left a lasting impression on family, classmates, and friends. Born October 31, 2006, Jaydon grew up surrounded by people who loved him and by the care of his family. Known affectionately as “JL,” he was a student in the Montgomery Public School System and cherished the friendships and everyday moments that filled his life.

Those who knew Jaydon remember him for a generous heart and a calm, loving manner. He had a gentle way of making others feel seen and valued, and his compassion became a quiet legacy to the people closest to him. Family members and friends recall the small acts of care and the easy, genuine presence he offered in ordinary days.

On May 1, 2025, Jaydon passed away. In the weeks that followed, his family invited the community to gather and celebrate the life he lived. A public visitation and a celebration of life were arranged so loved ones could come together to honor his memory and support one another through grief. He was laid to rest at Kindle Memorial Cemetery.

Jaydon is remembered lovingly by his parents and extended family, who carry forward the gentle spirit he shared. As family and friends remember his laugh, his quiet kindness, and the simple ways he brightened those around him, they hold onto the comfort of those memories. Though his time was far too short, Jaydon’s influence remains in the hearts of those who loved him.

May Jaydon’s memory be a blessing to all who knew him, and may the compassion he showed continue to inspire care and connection among those he left behind.
