Obituary

A formal remembrance

Jacob Lee Langley (January 17, 2000 – November 25, 2022) is remembered for the warmth he shared with family and the pride he took in his work. Born in Stillwater, Oklahoma, Jacob carried his roots with him as he moved west to build a life in Colorado. He was working toward his HVAC license and took satisfaction in honest, skilled work—always eager to learn and to provide for his loved ones.

Family was central to Jacob’s life. He treasured time with his daughter, enjoyed playing with the family dog, and made room in his life for outdoor pursuits he loved—fishing and hunting were among his favorite ways to relax and connect with those close to him. Those who knew him recall a young man who took pride in doing things well, who valued simple, meaningful moments, and who found joy in the company of family.

Jacob is survived by his wife, Andrea Bettis; his daughter, Adelita Langley; his mother, Christina Langley; and a large extended family of siblings, nieces and nephews who carry his memory forward. He was preceded in death by his father, Keith Hancock, and by grandparents on both sides.

Though his life was cut short, Jacob’s love for his family, his dedication to his chosen trade, and his enjoyment of the outdoors remain the enduring pieces of the life he built. He is remembered with affection by those who knew him and with deep sympathy from his community.
