Henry Maddox

Henry Maddox III (June 9, 1969 – May 11, 2025) is remembered for the kindness and steady presence he brought to family, friends, and his community in the Mobile area. Those who knew Henry recall a man who valued faith and fellowship; his life was celebrated at Word of Life Community Church in Chickasaw, where family and neighbors gathered to honor his memory.

Henry’s funeral service offered an opportunity for those he touched to share stories, offer condolences, and pay respects. He was laid to rest at the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spanish Fort, a final resting place chosen with care and respect. Small’s Mortuary of Mobile coordinated services and invited the community to join in the remembrance.

Though public records and the memorial notice provide only limited detail about his private life, the reflections left by friends and those who attended services emphasize Henry’s warmth and the positive impressions he left on others. The memorials and visitation at Word of Life Community Church reflected the deep regard in which he was held locally.

Henry’s passing at age 55 brought many in the Mobile area together to grieve and to celebrate the quieter, meaningful parts of his life—his faith community, the fellowship of neighbors, and the relationships that mattered most to him. He is remembered with affection by those who knew him, and his family’s decision to hold services in Chickasaw and to inter him at the veterans cemetery underscores the care with which they honored his memory.
