Obituary

A formal remembrance

Emma June "Emily" Morgan was a cherished daughter, sister, and granddaughter whose bright personality touched those around her. Born July 16, 2007, in Ontario, Oregon, Emma lived most recently in Glendale and was known for the lively spirit she brought to family moments. Family was everything to Emma; she loved her sisters McKaylee and Rylee, her brother Jordan, and was devoted to her parents, Jen and Gabe Keely, and her grandmother Barbara Keely.

Emma had a knack for self-expression and took pleasure in perfecting her appearance — spending hours practicing makeup and fashion, and enjoying the confidence of being seen. She loved to shop and could light up a room when she was the center of attention. Those who knew her remembered her as thoughtful and stubborn in equal measure: someone who cared deeply for others and would stand her ground when she believed in something.

Though her life was far too short, Emma’s family remembers the warmth she brought to ordinary days and the small, everyday joys she shared with loved ones. Her presence in family gatherings and the affection she showed for her siblings and extended family are how she is held in memory.

All services were kept private by the family. Emma is survived by her parents, Jen and Gabe Keely; sisters McKaylee and Rylee; brother Jordan; and her grandmother, Barbara Keely. The family has asked for privacy as they grieve and remember Emma’s life. Those who wish to honor her memory are encouraged to hold close the people they love and the small, bright moments that make up a life.
