Derrice Alexander

Derrice Marque Alexander Jr., age 2, was a beloved little boy of Cleveland whose brief life filled his family’s home with laughter and love. The son of Louise Dawson and Derrice Alexander Sr., and a little brother to Daryonna and Jaycoen, Derrice held a special place in the hearts of those who knew him. Family members remembered him as a bright presence whose small smiles and everyday play brought warmth to those around him.

Funeral services were held on June 19, 2014, at The Word Church in support of family and friends who gathered to honor his memory. The community came together to offer comfort and to celebrate the brief but treasured days of Derrice’s life. Those who cared for him recall the ordinary, tender moments—being held by his parents, sharing time with siblings, and the simple joys of childhood that defined his short life.
