Remembering David

A life held close in memory

David Quinn Price, born January 11, 1993, was a devoted father and a beloved son whose life touched family and friends in New Orleans. A graduate of Sarah T. Reed High School, David was most proud of being a father to his three children: David Price Jr., Davin Taylor, and Winter Price. He is survived by his mother, Sabrina Price Gardner, his stepfather, Richard Gardner, and a wide circle of siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family who held him dear.

Those who knew David recall a young man whose role as a parent and family member defined much of his days. His family remembers him for the care he showed his children and for the place he held at the center of family gatherings and everyday life. Though public records note the tragic circumstances of his passing on November 19, 2019, what endures most strongly in the memories of those who loved him are his relationships and the warmth he gave at home.

Family and friends honored David with funeral arrangements handled by the local funeral home; they gathered to celebrate his life and to support one another in grief. His memory lives on through his children and the many relatives who continue to remember his presence at holidays, birthdays, and ordinary moments alike.

David’s life — though cut far too short — is remembered for the human ties he nurtured: a loving father, a devoted son, and a member of a family that continues to carry his memory forward. May his children and family find comfort in one another and in the lasting love he left behind.

May the memory of David be a lasting source of comfort. A life matters far beyond what can ever be captured on a page, and this remembrance is offered with sympathy and respect.
