David Keevan Jr.

David Anthony Keevan, Jr., born April 1, 1980, in Mobile, Alabama, was a man whose life was centered on family, faith, and simple pleasures. A graduate of Baker High School (Class of 1999) and a student at Faulkner State Community College, David carried the values of home with him throughout his life. He loved time spent outdoors — hunting and fishing were lifelong pastimes he enjoyed with his father — and he was an enthusiastic fan of college football, faithfully cheering for Alabama.

David was known by family as a loving son and the only son among his siblings. He cherished family vacations, backyard cookouts, concerts, and the everyday moments of togetherness that keep a family close. David’s faith was important to him; he publicly affirmed that faith when he was baptized at Azalea City Church of Christ. Those who knew him speak of a man who found joy in being with those he loved and who did his best to show up for them.

He is survived by his parents, Janet and David Keevan, Sr.; sisters Misty Bardin and Rachel Goree; brothers-in-law Ray Bardin, Jr. and Justin Goree; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will carry forward his memory. He was preceded in death by his sister Dana Adams and by several grandparents. The family honored David with a visitation and funeral on December 19, 2024, at Azalea City Church of Christ, followed by burial at Pierce Creek Cemetery.

David’s life was marked by the everyday compassion and loyalty he showed his family and friends. Though his time ended too soon, those who loved him remember his laughter, his steady presence at family gatherings, and the simple pleasures he treasured. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.
