Darci Williams

Darci Irene “Smiles” Williams, 25, of Kansas City, Missouri, was remembered for the bright, welcoming smile that endeared her to family and friends. Born June 4, 1979, in Kansas City, Kansas, Darci was a devoted daughter whose presence brought warmth and light to those close to her. She carried a loving spirit that family members recall with tenderness.

Darci was preceded in death by her father, Carlton N. Williams, Sr., and a baby son, Robert Andrew Williams. She is survived by her mother, Ruby Irene Porter Williams; siblings; and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, and cousins who continue to honor her memory. Those who knew Darci recall a young woman with an easy laugh and a generosity of heart, someone who made ordinary moments feel kinder to those around her.

Graveside services were held at Mt. Washington Cemetery, where family and friends gathered to celebrate her life and to remember the joy she brought into their lives. In lieu of flowers, the family suggested memorial contributions to SIDS Resources, Inc., reflecting a wish to support others facing the fragile losses that can touch families.

Darci’s family remembers her not for the way she died but for the warmth she gave while she lived. Her smile, and the love she offered to kin and community, remain lasting gifts to those who carry her memory forward.
