Craig Roberts

Craig Allen Roberts, 13, of Greensburg, Indiana, brought a lively curiosity and warm presence to family, school, and community. Born July 3, 2000, Craig was an eighth-grade student at Greensburg Junior High School who delighted in small joys—everything Pokémon—and rooted himself in school life as a devoted teammate, a dependable member of the archery team, and a participant in the light and sound crew for school plays. He earned membership in the Junior National Honor Society and took part in the Stars Mentor Program, showing both academic promise and a willingness to contribute to others. Craig was also looking forward to joining the Elite Edition show choir at Greensburg Community High School the following year.

Close to his family and friends, Craig was known as a dedicated and enthusiastic young person who took his commitments seriously. He was a true Pirate fan and loved spending time with those closest to him. Family was central to Craig’s life; he is remembered by his parents, siblings, grandparents, and extended family who treasured his bright spirit and everyday kindness.

Craig’s family invited friends and neighbors to remember him and celebrate his life during visitation at Gilliland Howe Funeral Home and at services held at the United Methodist Church, with burial at South Park Cemetery. In keeping with his interests and the values his family wished to honor, memorial contributions were suggested to support the Greensburg Junior High Archery Team.

Though taken far too soon, Craig’s enthusiasm for school activities, his warmth with family, and the small pleasures that delighted him leave a lasting memory. He is remembered with love by those who knew him and by the Greensburg community that welcomed his energy.
