Corry DeWayne Fowler

Corry DeWayne Fowler, 43, of Birmingham, departed this life on June 28, 2015. A loving father and family pillar, Corry’s life was defined by his deep devotion to his children and the steady presence he provided to relatives and friends. He is remembered by many for his ready smile and the way he put family first.

Corry is survived by five daughters and three stepdaughters, four sons, his parents, Myra White and Freddie Fowler, five sisters, one brother, grandparents Ludie Blackmon and Annette White, and two grandchildren. His family gathered to honor his memory with services held at St. James Baptist Church in the Druid Hill neighborhood of Birmingham and burial at Carver Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Arrington Funeral Home, with a public viewing held the day before the funeral.

Those who knew Corry recall a man whose life was shaped by family commitments and neighborhood ties.
