A formal remembrance
Clayborn Blair (August 10, 1959 – May 4, 2018) was a devoted father and grandfather whose life reflected quiet service and deep family ties. Born in Boston, Clayborn served his country in the U.S. Navy and later supported his family through steady, practical work. He was the proud father of Brandie, Candie, and Tyrone, and was blessed with eleven grandchildren who brought him great joy.
Friends and family remember Clayborn for his dependable nature and his care for relatives across the region. He was a caring brother to Sharon, Gary, Robert, Deborah, Rosetta, Cora, Delilah, Crystal, and Rhonda, and he treasured time spent with nieces, nephews, and close friends. Those who knew him recall his quiet presence, his commitment to family gatherings, and the comfort he gave to those around him.
Clayborn’s life was celebrated by his community with services arranged by George Lopes Funeral Home. Visitation and a celebration of life allowed friends and family to share memories, honor his military service, and support one another in mourning his loss. He was laid to rest privately, surrounded by loved ones.
Though his life was cut short, Clayborn’s legacy lives on through his children and grandchildren and in the memories of neighbors and friends who were touched by his steady loyalty and love. He is remembered with affection and gratitude by those who knew him best.
