Christian Markoff

Christian Alexander Markoff, 17, of Ozark, Alabama, is remembered for the warmth and possibilities of his short life. A local youth known to family and friends, Christian lived in the Ozark community and was a few months away from milestones his loved ones had hoped to celebrate. He attended school in the area and was part of the circle of friends and family who knew him best.

Christian’s presence was a part of ordinary, meaningful things — the neighborhoods and gatherings that shape small-town life. Those who knew him recall a young man whose life mattered to people around him: family members who loved him, classmates who counted him among their peers, and neighbors who saw him in the daily rhythms of Ozark.
