Chevy Jace Redus Christopher was a beloved 10-year-old whose presence brought warmth and brightness to those around him. A student at Cowart Elementary School, Chevy was known to light up a room with an easy smile and a lively spirit. He enjoyed the small adventures of childhood — video games and Pokémon among them — and spent cherished time with family, including nights at his grandmother’s home.

Chevy was treasured by his family, especially by his mother, Nancy Christopher, and by relatives and friends who remember his playful energy and capacity to make friends quickly. In the simple rhythms of neighborhood life and family gatherings, Chevy’s laughter and curiosity left a lasting impression on those who loved him.

Funeral services were held at Spry Funeral Home Chapel, and he was laid to rest at Roselawn Cemetery. In the face of a loss beyond measure, family, classmates, and neighbors came together to honor Chevy’s short but meaningful life, sharing memories of a boy who, in ten years, gave much joy to those around him.
