Remembering Bradley

A life held close in memory

Bradley Steven Henry Johnson (October 27, 1989 – June 30, 2022) was a devoted father, fiancé, and public servant whose steady presence and commitment to others left an imprint on his community. A native of the Centreville area, Bradley served with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office for eight years, where colleagues remember him as professional, calm under pressure, and someone who helped others feel safer and heard.

At home, Bradley was a father to two daughters, and those roles defined him as much as his work did. Family members and neighbors recalled his pride in his children and the joy he took in family life. He and his fiancée had looked forward to building a future together; those who knew him spoke of his warmth, his sense of duty, and the steadiness he brought to everyday moments.

Bradley’s dedication extended beyond his badge. After being transported for emergency care in late June 2022, his final act of generosity continued to give life: his organs were donated to help others. The community of Centreville, and the many agencies that worked alongside him, held remembrance events and tributes that reflected the respect and affection people felt for him.

Friends, coworkers, and neighbors described Bradley as a good man who could calm tense situations with a professional, respectful manner. In the days following his passing, family members and the Bibb County community gathered to honor his service and the care he showed to those around him.

Bradley is remembered for his service, his devotion to his daughters and fiancée, and the quiet way he looked after his community. Though his life was cut short, the compassion he showed continues to be reflected in the lives he touched and the lives saved through his organ donations. Funeral and memorial arrangements were made in Centreville, Alabama, where his family, friends, and colleagues celebrated a life defined by service and love.
