Aric Hall

Aric D’Mon Dominique’ Hall, known to friends and family as “Baby Jordan,” passed away on October 28, 2018, at the age of 28. Born August 2, 1990, Aric was a lifelong El Dorado resident and a proud graduate of El Dorado High School (Class of 2008). He is remembered most warmly as a devoted father to his daughter Ari Sky and as a caring son, brother, fiancé, and friend.

Those who loved Aric recall a man whose warmth was evident in everyday moments. He loved music and travel, and friends said he carried himself with a kindness that made him quick to help others. His nickname came from the crowd-pleasing crossover move he showed on the basketball court — a small hint of the joyful energy he shared with those around him.

Family was central to Aric’s life. He is survived by his mother, Jennifer (Gerald) Smith; his father, Scotty Hall; his daughter, Ari Hall; his fiancé, Shara Holmes; multiple brothers and sisters; and many grandparents, extended family members, and friends who cherish his memory. His obituary notes the deep bonds he kept with relatives and the many ways he brightened family gatherings and neighborhood circles.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Sims Mortuary in El Dorado, with a public visitation on November 2, 2018, and a celebration of life on November 3, 2018, at Douglas Chapel Baptist Church. Those services offered family and community members a chance to honor Aric’s life, share stories, and remember the warmth he brought to everyday occasions.

Aric’s family remembers him for his kindness, his love for his daughter, and the simple pleasures that shaped his days — music, basketball, and time spent with people he loved. He lived with a generosity of spirit that those who knew him continue to celebrate. Though his life ended far too soon, his presence and the relationships he nurtured remain in the hearts of many.
