Amber Weigel

Amber Michelle Weigel (July 20, 1984 – December 3, 2009) is remembered for the devotion she showed to her young daughter and the care she brought to her work with children. A graduate of Sauk Prairie High School, Amber found joy and purpose as a staff member at the Montessori Children’s House, where those who knew her say she was enthusiastic, patient, and well-loved by colleagues and families. Her proudest role was as mother to Neveah Jordan Weigel-Adair, born September 7, 2007; the two shared a gentle love of music and art that brought light to their everyday life.

Family and friends recall Amber for her generous spirit and the way she celebrated promise in others. She is survived by family members who treasured her as a daughter, sister, granddaughter, aunt, partner, and friend. The family asked that those wishing to honor Amber and Neveah consider donations to the Amber and Neveah Weigel Memorial Fund at Summit Credit Union, or to bring photographs and memories to the family’s celebration of life at Olbrich Botanical Gardens on December 12, 2009.

Though her time was far too short, Amber’s dedication to her daughter and her nurturing presence in the lives of children at the Montessori school remain a lasting part of her legacy. She is remembered with love by her family and all who were touched by her warmth and care.
