Adrian Reed

Adrian Scott Reed, 43, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on July 23, 2014. A graduate of Lee's Summit High School, Adrian built a career as a Senior Structural Designer with Burns & McDonnell, where his work supported the region he called home.

Family was central to Adrian's life. He is survived by his parents, William and Rebecca Reed; his sister Michole Pruente and her family; brothers Adam, Shawn (and wife Allison), John, Kevin (and wife Stacey); and sister Tavish Berger and her children, along with many aunts, uncles and cousins across Missouri and Iowa. Those who knew him recall a life shaped by close family ties and steady professional dedication.

Friends and relatives gathered to honor Adrian’s memory at a visitation held at Langsford Funeral Home in Lee's Summit. In keeping with the family's wishes, those who wished to remember him were asked to consider gifts to crime victims' compensation programs or the Kansas City Crime Stoppers in lieu of flowers, a gesture meant to help others facing hardship.

Adrian’s family expressed appreciation for the support and prayers offered by their community during a difficult time. He is remembered by those who loved him as a committed professional and a cherished family member whose life mattered to many.
